My spare time has always revolved around getting a drink or planning for the next one. Ive suffered from depression and anxiety, and always had a very unhealthy relationship with alcohol. Alcohol hadn’t yet caused damage to my career or my family/relationships but I could see myself sliding fast at the first sign of any hardship. I haven’t had or wanted a drink for a month and feel pretty confident that I’ll never drink again.Ī bit about me: I was never a rock bottom alcoholic. ![]() Carr’s method is unique in that he helps you to understand more about alcohol addiction and the trap we all fall into, rather than asking you to quit using willpower. ![]() Carr is the guy who got famous for writing the quit smoking book, which I haven’t read but had heard it helped some of my friends quit smoking. I recently listened to ‘The Easy Way to Control Alcohol’ by Allen Carr on audiobook and haven’t had a drink or wanted one for a month.
